CASE Week, 2009 - Photography Activity.

During the past CASE week, a couple of friends and I decided to sign up for the Photography activity in Hong Kong. This activity was mostly based around the Creative side. The aim of the week was to visit various places around Hong Kong and capture a wide range of images depicting the 'old and new' influences in certain locations around Hong Kong. By the end of the week, we should have taken many photos, the best of which would be selected and put on display.

On the first day, the group spent the entire morning in school for a briefing of the week, we received a good amount of photography tips. After this we went to the history museum in Tsim Sha Tsui to take more pictures. The second day was much better, we met at Langham Place at around 8:30 in the morning and then walked through Mong Kok while taking pictures of the busy city. We we're given a lot of free time for lunch and exploration. We ended the day near East Tsim Sha Tsui. On the third day, Mr. Docherty took us to Central and the Western district. We started off near the harbor and walked towards Cat Street. The day ended in IFC. The last day of the week was spent in school editing and selecting the pictures that we took throughout the week. With our selected images, we created a collage of twelve of our best images. These posters were then put on display in the school hall.

Overall, CASE was was a great experience for me. Last year, I visited Japan, staying in Hong Kong was a different experience for me. Next year, I intend on visiting the Philippines or Malaysia. Seeing as next year will be my last CASE week, I want to spend it on something more enjoyable and memorable.

When out of school, I do a variety of different activities. This includes:

- Teaching guitar at a music studio in Kwun Tong.
- Working for a independent music label called Start From Scratch.
- Playing in a band signed with Scarlet Ibis, a Hong Kong underground label.
